St. Louis Design Firm Wins Big in November
Directions in Design earns several local design awards
ST. LOUIS, Nov. XX, 2007 – November proved to be a month of recognition for St. Louis-based Directions in Design.
The firm took home honors in two different categories in St. Louis Homes and Lifestyles’ Nov. /Dec. issue and was recognized for its contributing work by the St. Louis Homebuilders Association’s Homer Awards.
DID designer Melissa Rozell, ASID, earned St. Louis Homes and Lifestyle’s Guest Room of the Year award for her creative design in a private residence guest room. Rozell employed an exotic, safari theme in her design of the 550-sqaure-foot suite, using art and artifacts from the owners’ travels to Africa.
The magazine also named a bathroom designed by Jane Ganz, A.S.I.D., president and owner of DID, as Bathroom of the Year in the 100-200 sq.ft. category. The bathroom was part of a comprehensive master suite renovation by DID. In this project, Ganz merged graceful architectural millwork details and beautiful finish materials with a variety of “smart” features to create a luxury bathroom experience.
“This month has been a wonderful testament to the expertise and dedication of our design staff,” said Ganz. “We have completed a variety of residential projects this year and are very pleased to see this work being recognized.”
DID also worked closely with Gateco Development in its recent renovation of the Gatesworth Senior Living Facility. The project was awarded a Homer award this month by the St. Louis Home Builder’s Association.
