Directions in Design on Board to Put Imaging Patients at Ease
Florida Radiology Imaging Awards New Center to Design Firm
ST. LOUIS, May 2007 – Florida Radiology Imaging has a specific goal in mind for its new imaging center at Waterford Lakes – patient comfort. With this in mind, they have awarded the interior planning and construction of the center to St. Louis based-Directions in Design.
Directions in Design will use a blue and brown color palette, appealing finish materials and well-designed lighting, along with extensive architectural details and moldings, to create a contemporary look throughout the entire center. Everything, from the cove ceiling in the waiting room to the use of Technofloor in the modality areas, will contribute to the client’s design objective. Designers will use artwork extensively throughout the center to increase patient flow and staff efficiency.
“Everything in this center will be geared to patient comfort,” said Jane Ganz, president, Directions in Design. “We view the heightened level of interior finish and architecture as a part of the superior diagnostic imaging experience FRI offers to patients.”
The 6,000 sq. ft. facility is set to open in June with a full range of modalities available, including CT scan, MRI, mammography, x-ray, bone density scanning, and two ultrasound rooms.
